Description
This is a chef favorite. The green flower stalk of the heirloom hardneck garlic has all of the garlic flavor but milder.
I like to make pesto with them. Substitute basil with garlic scapes in your recipe for pesto. Of course you can still add basil if you like. You can also dice them up and add to eggs and other recipes where you like a milder garlic flavor such as sauteed with heirloom potatoes.
